3x Champions Midwest Chargers Join GDFL

St.Louis,Missouri-The Gridiron Development Football League (GDFL) is proud to announced that we have added the Midwest Chargers( 3x Champions) of the Great Midwest Football League. Team Owner Damon Cannon  announced today that the Midwest Chargers would be entering the Gridiron Developmental Football League for the upcoming 2018 season and beyond. The team is based out of St.Louis, Missouri.

“We are excited to be joining the Gridiron Development Football League. A league that offers the best brand recognition and support system to grow our team moving forward.Our fans & players deserve to see competition at its highest level.These are some of the best teams in the country, that’s why we came here. We will to travel to wherever the competition might be. 

That’s what we look for and that’s what we’re getting in the GDFL National League. Everyone has to compete, whether it’s through your Region, the National Playoffs or Championship Series. It’s a proving ground for us to showcase ourselves and prove that we belong. 

It’s the competition. It’s the level of players that are here and we will push every day and you get things here you can’t get other places.,” stated Damon Cannon.

The Midwest Chargers was founded in 2009 and is entering their 10th season as an organization. Over the years they have seen multiple changes as they have progressed tremendously each season. Posting an impressive 70-20 all-time record, with four conference titles ('13, '14, '15, '16, ), and three league titles (GMFL '14, '15 '16). They also earned the opportunity to play in the North American Bowl against the Albany (NY) Metro Mallers, a former GDFL team in 2017. 

“We are excited to add a high-caliber team as the Midwest Chargers to the league”, stated Charles Thompson GDFL . “We know entering their tenth season that they have been consistently a top level organization on the field while also being a model team to emulate off the field. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the GDFL and we are very excited to be adding them to our roster.
