Making an Impact

This is an opportunity for SMV (Success is My Visual nonprofit) to encourage, inspire and help our community in team efforts, while still providing a safe haven for young adults. We believe that you fit into our "empower and rise above". We also believe that the GDFL has the same morals, values, belief system....of creating a cohesive group of people, that encourages self esteem, increased awareness about oneself, discipline, integrity, work development techniques, tools and skills that can be used throughout a lifetime.

Our proposed plan for players is that we create an area of choice, change and power relationships with young individuals through our area that are in need of mentorship as well as a place to fit in. We deal with many young adults who have come through the foster system and have aged out. We intend to teach them how to stand on their own two feet, encouraging community service hours, while also providing free classes on writing business plans, setting up their own businesses, helping some get into college, while helping others to find and figure out what they are good at so that they are able to provide for themselves.

We want to create an atmosphere for the players that they look at one another as family rather than just a group of players.
Staff this is the chance for those who really want to do more in the community to reach for the stars and dig in a little deeper to help recruit and retain young adults by helping them become fruitful in their endeavors. It is a chance for them to effectively communicate a better way of life to others, to help enrich the lives of our young people and talk and walk in a positive manner. And to do this we have to keep giving back, if we make this successful by not just having a winning team, but changing these young adults lives.

"We are excited about our new opportunity in the The Gridiron Developmental Football League (GDFL) and looking forward to a great partnership," stated Ferrell. "The Trojans are committed to putting a first-class product on the field. As a staff, we welcome the challenge and competition that the league has to offer. We are very excited that Trojans fans will an have the opportunity to enjoy a top tier brand of minor league professional football!

With the inclusion of the Georgian Trojans organization, the GDFL continues to prepare for the 2020 season.  Stay tune for events & schedule updates.Which will be released in the coming weeks.
