GDFL playoffs 2018: First-round bracket released

The last games of the regular season are in the books, which means the 2018 GDFL playoff picture is set. In the Impact Conference, the playoff picture has been in place for some time. It has only been a matter of jockeying for postseason position from seeds No. 3 down to No. 6.

The same, though, can’t be said for the Xtreme Conference, where the Predators and Crush played for the Xtreme south divisional title match in the last game of the regular season. Predators came away with the win, but didn't win by enough points to secure the division.Which means the Georgia Crush is solidifying a 1st round home game against the Huntsville Rockets a team that was ranked #1 since week 2 of the 2018 GDFL season, but lost in overtime against the Middle Tennessee Bulldawgs who secured the #2 spot and sending the Rockets on the road packing in one of the craziest season finales in recent memory.

Now, the playoff picture is finally set for both conferences. The first games of the postseason kick-off Saturday, and it’s a playoff Day 1 you won’t want to miss. Here’s the schedule for each series in the first round. All times are Central Standard.
